CDC announces HIV prevention grants across U.S.

Vermont CARES would like to congratulate the 133 organizations that recently received direct federal support for HIV prevention programs.  The application process was impressive and the vetting intensive.  Vermont CARES and several local HIV-focused organizations began preparing a joint application for this federal funding, and ultimately decided to redirect our efforts to other funding sources, so we know first-hand how much it means to receive this direct funding for crucial HIV prevention (and how much work the process entailed!).  We are so happy to see that the resources are focused so intensively on populations at high risk, including people of color across the U.S.
